My Blogging Hiatus and Paddle Board Fun

Hi Long Lost Friends,

It's definitely been awhile since I posted on the old blog. My schedule and life just got the best of me and frankly I did not feel very "inspired" to blog. I felt like I was posting the same old thing over and over again which was boring for you guys and for me. I definitely miss the blogging world, and am determined to make a come back. This time though, I am only going to blog when I feel like I have something interesting to share that will hopefully help us all live healthier, happier, more fabulous lives!

With that being said, a lot has happened since I last posted, but there is definitely too much for one post. Sooo...... I just want to share my latest obsession -- Paddle Boarding!!! E and I rented paddle boards back in May and fell in love instantly. We decided that paddle boards would be the perfect anniversary present to give one another. We celebrated our three year wedding anniversary on May 22nd. I seriously can't believe it has already been three years. Although we have moved 5 times, lived in 4 different cities and 2 states, both gone back to school, and changed jobs three times, it feels like we just got married yesterday. Paddle boards were perfect because they were something we could enjoy together

It was definitely love at first paddle for both of us!

Although paddle boards are quite an investment, having our own boards that we can load up anytime we want and take down to the lake has been amazing! We have literally gone every weekend we have been home since we purchased them. They're ginormous!

Paddle boarding is not only fun, but a great core and upper body workout as well! It was actually a lot easier than I thought it was going to be to balance on the board. We usually go out for 2-3 hours at a time and alternate between paddling and an occasional sun bathing session on the boards. It is so relaxing and my favorite way to spend the weekend. I also love being able to soak up the sun with the option to hop in the water whenever I get too hot.

We even got to take our paddle boards out on the 4th of July to watch the city fireworks show from the river! It was so much fun!

What a special experience. It was a truly magical moment. If you ever have the chance to take paddle boards for a spin, I would totally suggest it. You'll have a great time and sneak in a workout without even knowing it.
