Rec Girls Reunion

Howdy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend and took a moment during Memorial Day to think about all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We are so blessed to live in a free country with soldiers willing to give their lives to protect our way of life.

This weekend was absolutely amazing! On Friday, I headed out right after my 11:00 AM Barre class for our annual Rec Girls Reunion. Every summer, a bunch of the wonderful ladies I taught aerobics with in college get together to catch up and swap life and fitness stories. I seriously look forward to it all year. Friday night, we hung out at our host, Gretchen's, house and then headed out for Mexican food and margartias (so maybe I stuck with water, but they looked good).

Saturday morning, we got up and enjoyed breakfast and coffee together before hopping in Gretchen's new swim spa. I even braved a swim suit for a little while. It felt so good on my hips and back to be in the water. At 3:00 PM the party began! Gretchen was kind enough to throw Katie and I a baby shower while we were in town.

Baby G is due July 4th and Baby Jeziorski is due October 24th. Katie will find out if they are having a boy or a girl in just 3 short weeks! I can't wait to find out!

Apparently, Sara, Lucy, and I all had a similar idea when it came to wardrobe selection!

My mentor, hero, and friend, DeAun, came by the party to help celebrate the future aerobics instructor growing in my belly. I seriously would never have fallen in love with teaching aerobics if it wasn't for this amazing lady! She's the best!

Gretchen threw an amazing party full of food, friends, and fun. We even played a fun baby jeopardy game that my team won! Way to go ladies!

After the party, we headed to lake Bryan for dinner at The Lakeside Ice House. They had a live band playing and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. It was a little cool with a slight breeze which is extremely out of the ordinary for Texas in May.

On Sunday morning, Gretchen made us the most delicious watermelon, basil, and spinach juice to enjoy on our drive home. Once I got home, it was time for grocery shopping and laundry. Normal Sunday duties still had to get done. It was nice to get home and see the hubs and pup!

Monday morning, I taught a Barre class at 8:30 AM, did a little work at the studio, and then headed home. I wasn't feeling all that well (note to self...... Annabelle hits the reject button on protein pancakes), and the weather was awful so E and I spent most of the day taking care of things around the house and watching a movie. It was pretty nice!

Today, it's back to work. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!
