Kettlebell and Tubing Total Body Workout

Tuesday, March 11, 2014

Hi Friends,

Since I wasn't around yesterday, how was you weekend? Mine was EXTREMELY uneventful due to my little toe injury on Friday. If you missed Friday's post, I dislocated my toe in the middle of my 11 AM barre class on a water bottle. Luckily, one of my amazing friends took my right to the doctor and they were able to pop it back into place. However, it was still extremely swollen and sore all weekend. So E chained me to our recliner and forbid me to get up.

The toe is doing a bit better today. It doesn't have to be taped to stay fairly straight, and I can walk a little bit more like a normal human. It's still pretty fat, but I'm thankful for PROGRESS (Ideafit's #springintoaction word of the day). :) I taught 2 classes yesterday and 3 this morning so we are definitely surviving.

E did still manage to be productive this weekend and painted Annabelle's room. We are just painting the wall that her crib will go on and leaving the other three walls white. Here's a sneak peek! The picture makes it look quite a bit darker than it is, but you get the point.

Although my toe isn't quite ready for kettlebell swings, that doesn't mean you should have to wait for a great workout. Here is the total body strength workout I did last Wednesday. Try to move quickly from one move to the another and only rest once you have finished all 7 exercises before you move on to the next round.

All you will need is a kettlebell and a piece of resistance tubing.

Let me know if you give it a try! I hope you have a great rest of your Tuesday!

Have you ever dislocated a joint? If so which one?
