Happy Friday Friends!

Yay for Friday!! How are you this wonderful morning? It's Friday, and the weekend ahead holds so many possibilities! Possibilities to meet up with friends, plant a garden, go shopping, tackle you to do list, and overeat. Uh-oh, how did that last one get on there? Sadly, it's true. We often all do so good Monday-Friday (at noon), and then the weekend (aka diet bombshell) comes around and everything falls apart. Happy hour, eating out, and long leisurely brunches can spell a healthy eating disaster!

We all want to have fun on the weekend, but it's a shame to throw away all of those hours you logged in the gym during the week with one all you can eat pizza fest! Check out these great articles on how to keep your weekend fun and healthy!

I like to think that my weekend starts on Friday (even though I still have to work today), so I wanted to share how I kicked off my healthy weekend. I think every day is a little bit better when you start it with a green smoothie!

  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1/2 a frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp flax seeds
  • 2 tbsp PB2
  • 1 cup of water

Alrighty, I'm off to teach Chisel and Core at 9:00am and then Zumba at noon. I'm so excited because this afternoon I am speaking at an elementar school health career fair. What can be more fun than teaching 3rd and 4th graders yoga?
