Goal Check and My Favorite Strength Training Articles

Friday, September 10, 2010

Whoa what a week!! This has been one fast, furious, and exhausting week. I can't believe it is already Friday, but I am very grateful that it is. Although this isn't going to be an extremely relaxing weekend, (it is football season after all) I am very excited for what it has in store. We leave bright and early tomorrow morning to head home to good old College Station for some Fighting Texas Aggie Football!! My best friend Kelley is driving in from Houston to meet me for lunch, and it is my amazing mother-in-laws birthday! Who can complain about all of those festivities?? Not Me!

Now it's time to get serious. How are your September Health Goals going?? I'm going to be honest, I have been hitting the resistance training hard this week, but my goal to spend 5 minutes a day just relaxing is not going so well. I have taught yoga twice this week if that counts? I know, not really but it was worth a try! I have this problem where instead of relaxing, I just think of all the things I should be doing. Then, I just have this overwhelming urge to whip out a piece of paper and a pen and start a to do list. I love to do list!!

Looking on the bright side, I taught five group strength classes this week. At least I'm meeting one of my goals. My hamstrings and triceps are not my biggest fans right now!! To help us towards our goal, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite strength training articles!
