I apoligize for the delay! Eric and I made the big move from College Station to Dallas this weekend. I thought I was going to have internet until Friday, but I lost it on Thursday. Anyway, let's tackle some Fast Food! In this fast paced world, we often eat what is convenient instead of what is healthy. Fast Food restaurants can be tasty, convenient and cheap, but they are also calorie bombshells. A seemingly innocent sandwich, can cost you 2,000 calories faster than you thought possible! Let's go over some of the healthiest options at your favorite fast food spots. Check out their websites for even more options!


McDonald's (http://www.mcdonalds.com/)
  • Premium Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich: hold the mayo and you will save calories and fat. 370 calories, 4.5g fat, 1g sat. fat, 65mg cholesterol, 1,110mg sodium, 50g carbs, 3g fiber, 32g protein.
  • Premium Asian Salad with Grilled Chicken: The majority of the calories in this salad comes from the almonds. 300 calories, 10g fat, 1g sat. fat, 65mg cholesterol, 890mg sodium, 23g carbs, 5g fiber, 32g protein
  • Fruit and Yogurt Parfait: This is your sinless sweet tooth fix! It is made with low-fat yogurt and topped with low fat granola, strawberries and blueberries. 160 calories, 2g fat, 1g sat fat, 5mg cholesterol, 85mg sodium, 31g carbs, 1g fiber, 4g protein
