A Day At Disney's The Magic Kingdom

Monday, January 21, 2013

Hi Friends,

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was absolutely magical! We decided to take advantage of the long weekend with a quick trip down to Disney World. We left Saturday morning and headed south to Orlando. Four hours later, we arrived ready to shop at the Outlet Mall. I had a little bit too much success there, but more on that in another post. After a day full of shopping, we headed towards Disney.

After checking into our hotel, we headed over to Downtown Disney to walk around and eat at the ESPN Club. Of course, that would be the first place we stop. If you know my husband, you know there was no other choice.

I have never seen so much sport memorabilia in one place. It was so neat!! Plus, one of the most amazing things about Disney World is they are over the top accommodating of anyone with a food allergy. At every restaurant we went to the chef came out and talked to me about my allergy. They tried hard to make you whatever you wanted on the menu. It was amazing. I'm used to settling for whatever I think is safe, but at Disney I actually got to eat what I wanted. Thank you Disney!!

Saturday morning, I woke up early to get in a quick sweat session before hitting the park. The hotel gym was super nice (I totally forgot to take a picture)! We decided that since we only had one day at Disney we should visit Magic Kingdom because I was dying to see Cinderella's castle. Here is how our day at the "Most Magical Place In The World" went!

It was an absolutely amazing day full of great memories! I feel so lucky that I got to experience Disney with E. Sunday morning we got up and drove through ESPN Wide World of Sports. It was raining so we didn't get to see too much, but it was still really cool.

Overall, we had an absolutely amazing time!! My favorite part was definitely seeing Cinderella's castle and getting to spend the whole day with E before he leaves for Austin.

I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

Friends, Fun, and Adventures in 2012

Tuesday, January 1, 2013

Howdy!

2012 was a great year to say the least! We moved to Florida, I got an amazing new job at Florida State, we made new friends, spent time with old friends, went to lots of weddings, tons of football games, and enjoyed every minute of it! The old saying "a picture is worth a thousand words," definitely fits here. Here are a few highlights from a jam packed year!

We rang in the new year with Eric's brother Greg and his wife Meredith at the American Airlines Arena.

One of the things that I am the most proud of completing in 2012 is my Balanced Body Pilates Reformer and Apparatus Certification. It took 4 months and a lot of practice time, but it was worth every second of it!

I also had the opportunity to complete a Booty Barre Certification with Tracey Mallet. This is an absolutely fantastic certification and I have had so much fun teaching Booty Barre this year.

Champ grew a ton in 2012, but he remained his precious goofy self!

Me and two of my best girlfriends, Kelley and Daphne, took a trip to Cali to celebrate Daphne's birthday. It was probably one of the most fun weekends of my life. I love those girls!!

We had the pleasure of watching our good friends Joseph and Chelsea get married.

E had fun visiting Greg's Air Force Base!

We took a trip to Florida to find a place to live before we moved!

I hosted a baby shower for my best friend Kelli!!!

We made the big move to Florida!

I became a Master Trainer for an amazing new strength program named QiFORZE!

We had a blast at Seminole Football Games!

Me and the girls (Jenn, April, LT) tailgating before a game. I love these girls so much, and feel so blessed to have met them.

I took a trip down to Austin to visit my crazy sister!

I taught QiFORZE workshops in San Marcos, Dallas, and Tallahassee.

I visited New Orleans for the first time for the Athletic Business Conference. Me and the bopsy twins posing in front of a gigantic Christmas tree in NOLA!

I also got to catch up with old friends. Alison and I taught together in college and I miss her to pieces!

It's going to be hard to top 2012, but I have a great feeling about 2013. Check back in tomorrow for the top workouts of 2012!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Half Way Across the Country!

Thursday, August 2, 2012

Hi Friends!

I've missed you guys! I want to send a big thank you out to Amy and Carolyn for holding down fort while I was driving all over the place! The past few days have been crazy, but full of fun, changes, and lots of driving.

We started our adventure on Friday as we drove to Kansas for E's cousin Lacey's wedding. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding, and we had sooooo much fun getting to hang out with all of the cousins. E's family is literally spread out from coast to coast, so it is a blast when we all get together!

Most of Oklahoma and Kansas looked about like this.

Driving past Oklahoma City!

What a beautiful bride! We are so happy for you two!

E posing with Abe and Jake at the reception.

The white socks dance

Let me give you a little background information about the picture above. The Bride's dad, Johnny, always wears white athletic socks (always), even when his daughter is getting married and he is wearing a suite. All of the cousins decided they would do a tribute to Johnny by wearing white tube socks to the reception. They called Johnny out on the dance floor and then all of the boys joined him for a tube socks dance. I stomach hurt I was laughing so hard!!

We drove back to Dallas on Sunday, and the packing really began. On Monday, we picked up the U-haul and stuffed it full!

We definitely needed the 26 footer.

My handsome mover!
We set out for Florida bright and early on Tuesday for the 16 hour trip! Instagram helped me document our journey!

5:23am and we were on the road.

Only 840 miles to go!

It took us a few hours to get out of Texas so this was an exciting sign!

E was our caravan leader.

Driving over the swamps in Louisiana.

Champ sprawled out in the backseat for the entire ride. He was such a good boy!

LSU's stadium from a distance.

Crossing into Mississippi.

Mrs. George's home state!

Welcome to Alabama! We are getting so close!

Howdy Mobile!

Our new home state! I can't believe it!

10:11pm cst we pulled into the driveway. It was 11:11pm Florida time!
I can't believe we made it all the way in one day! We were all pretty tired, but  it wasn't near as rough as  I thought it would be. We spent all day Wednesday unpacking and are almost finished. We have a few pieces of furniture to buy and then we will be all finished. I'll be back with more house pictures once we get it all decorated, but here is a sneak peak! .

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
